Which ticket should you buy?
There are four realistic options. The names below match what you'll see at checkout, so you can compare without guessing what marketing labels mean.
1. Timed Entry Ticket — the default choice
The standard Pitti Palace Timed Entry Ticket ($28.24 online, 18% under the desk rate) covers the Palatine Gallery, the Royal Apartments, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Treasury of the Grand Dukes and the Museum of Costume and Fashion. Headout's version includes a multilingual audio guide, which the desk ticket does not. Pick this if you have half a day and the weather doesn't matter.
2. Palace + Boboli combo — best for a full visit
The combo ticket ($39.07, 15% off) adds the Boboli Gardens, the Bardini Garden and the Porcelain Museum. That's the whole grand-ducal estate for about $11 more than the palace alone. 3. Florence 5-Day Pass — for multi-day trips
The 5-day pass ($57.70) bundles the Uffizi, the Pitti Palace and the Boboli Gardens with five consecutive days to use them. Bought separately in high season, those three tickets cost noticeably more — and you avoid deciding everything for one exhausting day. It answers the classic "Pitti or Uffizi?" dilemma with "both, on different days".
4. Private tour — when you want the stories
The private palace + Boboli tour puts a licensed art historian at your side, with guides working in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian and Portuguese, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Timing your booking
Book the 8:15–9:30 am slots to walk the Palatine Gallery while tour groups are still at the Uffizi, or after 3 pm when day-trippers thin out. Tuesdays after a Monday closure are the busiest mornings; Wednesday and Thursday are the calmest full days.
